The responsibility that the reader takes is not to be given to the writer. Introspection is not appropriate for one's writing. It can be called unjust because it is impossible to do so in a completely impersonal way — hence the line of neutral judgment is not correct. The publisher wants to know why I went to write the shipwreck. Don't tell me all these things. Outside news can be given, that is the publisher's insistence. The source is deep within, the cow is not the source. Publisher's form is more called motivation. But what can I say without that? Getting into the story and getting the revelation are completely different things. Needless to say the story inside was not rushed. When the door to write a story does not open, I have to think about what to write. Times have changed. At this time the curiosity of the story has become psychotic. Event-writing has become secondary. So by exploring the secrets of the mind in an unusual situation, a huge mistake was made in the life of the hero-heroine — very cruel, but curious. The question of its extreme psychology is whether the fixation with the permanence of the husband's relation which the ordinary girl of our country has in mind is so deep-rooted that she can scornfully sever the web of unconscious first love. But universal answers to these questions are not possible. It is not impossible that the eternal reformation of society should be so strong in the mind of a particular girl that she would break all ties and rush to him at the news of a strange husband. If the bond and the reformation were both equally strong, the woman's mind would have been armed by both sides at the end. The wretched Ramesh remains the chief vehicle of the tragedy – his misery not so much about the antagonism of attitude as about the impenetrable complexity of events. For this reason I will not answer if the judge criminalizes the author. I will only say that if there is no waste of juice in the part of the story where the description and the pain are touched by poetry, then maybe the poet's reputation can save something in that part from all the shipwrecks. But I can't say this without hesitation, because tastes are changing rapidly.
