Universal poet Rabindranath Tagore was a novelist, dramatist, essayist, short story writer, painter, composer, actor, singer, poet, social reformer and philosopher. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1913 as the first Bengali to translate Gitanjali poetry into English. Rabindranath Tagore was born on May 7, 1861 in the wealthy and cultured Jorasankor Tagorebari of Calcutta in then British-ruled India. He focused on writing since childhood. Bhanusingha Tagore was his pseudonym. Rabindranath Tagore's book means to get stuck in a fascination, that fascination introduces the reader to the various colors of life in various styles, rhythms, tones and colors. His 52 poetry books, 38 drama books, 13 novels, 36 essays and other prose collections were published during his lifetime or shortly after his death. A total of 95 stories including Kabuliwala, Haimanti, Postmaster are included in his 'Galpuchch' book. On the other hand, 1,915 songs have been compiled in the book 'Gitbitan'. Rabindranath Tagore's books contain all branches of literature including novels, poems, music, short stories, ballads, essays, travelogues. He was both a dramatist and a dramatist. He also painted without any formal education. This virtuous personality also played an important role in the social reforms of that time. The entire book of Rabindranath Tagore has been translated in different languages of the world. All his works have been published in thirty volumes under the name 'Rabindra Rachnavali'. Rabindranath Tagore breathed his last on August 7, 1941 at Jorasanko house. Although so much time has passed after his death, his literary works are still glowing with glory. Even today, the literary work of Vishwakabir has covered various aspects of our Bengali life.
